Review: My Darling Duke

My Darling Duke My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Longing, passion perfection

The plan to have her sisters have a good season and marry well seems well hatched. I mean, who would think a recluse duke would come to town and seek her out?

I have come to adore Stacy Reid’s storytelling. There is something about her characters that seem so human. Among their faults doesn't feel overdone. You fall along with them.

Things I Loved:
- Heroine isn't a frightened miss but takes charge of her situation
- Hero, tragic beast, but you see his vulnerability from the start in how he loves his sister

Things to consider:
- it ended
- wait, I think Alexander’s cousin deserves a book. He delivers a short but impactful speech.

There is so much I loved about this story, but telling it would be a spoiler. I guess there is tge power in the author's words and spin of the story that serves the issue with not the easy way out. But something that was engaging and made the reader engage and connect.
I have another new favorite.

Recommendation: Buy the book
