Release Day A Crazy Christmas: I am 'Crazy' about this author

If they can make it through the holidays,
they can make it through anything.

Title: A Crazy Christmas
Author: B. Cranford
Release Date: December 20, 2017

Blurb

The scariest thing about life is that it can change in an instant . . .

A broken promise.
A chance encounter.

A forgotten phone call.
A shot at forgiveness.

The hardest thing about love is letting go . . .

A crippling addiction.
A broken heart.

A costly mistake.
A lingering past.

The funniest thing is that no one knows which way is up . . .

With a break-up—or is it a proposal?—in the wings, a sick baby and stretch marks to worry about, a Christmas party that probably could have gone better, and the pressure to find that perfect gift, these four friends are just trying to make it through the holidays. Without losing their minds—or any other important body parts.

And that gives this Christmas the potential to be their craziest one yet . . .

Review

In all honesty, this is one author that just gets better and better with every story. A Crazy Christmas does not disappoint. If you've read The Brightest Star and A Little Bit Crazy, this is one holiday story not to be missed.

So, let's cover that tidbit for a second. I am serial holiday romance reader. I like the 'cheese'. This time of year, it's all about finding your HEA and getting that cavity reading adventure. I mean the cheesier the better.

Okay fans, you won't find it in this book and I couldn't be happier.

Ms Cranford gives us the stress and joys that this holiday season delivered with heart.  These characters you've gotten to know and they continue their quirks in this tale.   Whether it's finding the perfect gift or finding their normal, you feel immersed in their world and grinning when you reach 'The End'.

Fans of B. Cranford's debut duet are going to be ecstatic for this enchanting and honest tale. Once you finish, you'll find your heart filled with joy as we see these couples navigate the crazy of the season.

Excerpt

“I’m going to enjoy this,” he told Brighton as she took one, two, three steps backwards toward the bed they shared every night. “But explain to me why you’re not naked like I asked?”

Brighton licked her lips, her eyes never leaving his body as he moved closer and closer to her, a sure sign that she was nervous.

“Well?” He took one final step, aligning their bodies so that he could feel the silky material of her negligee on his bare chest. He’d ripped his own shirt off as he’d entered the house, determined to have his wife once—hard and fast—so that he could enjoy her slower a little later on.

She was, after all, a woman to be enjoyed.

She shrugged, batting eyelashes at him like she thought he was susceptible to fluttering lids and mesmerizing green eyes. When he simply raised his eyebrows in a “well?” expression, she joined her hands with his and squeezed, offering a small smile that brought all of Sebastian’s plans to a screaming halt.

Something was wrong.

And he was going to find out exactly what it was.

“Brighton, I wanna know.” He tried to be gentle, but the words came out demanding. Shit. “I’m sorry. Please?”

“Just . . . well, you know.” Her eyes cast downward as she dropped one of his hands in favor of resting it on her still slightly-rounded belly. “I know you say you don’t care—”

“I don’t care. I’m not saying it. I mean it.” He felt the frown that skittered across his face before he worked to smooth it out. He didn’t want her to think he was angry at her, but he also didn’t want her thinking that she was anything less than perfect.

“I know. I just feel—I mean, it was strange getting naked without you here.” Using the hand that was still joined with his, Brighton pulled him even closer. Nothing, not even the smallest sliver of air, was between them but for the material of her cream-colored nightgown. “I like it when you undress me.”

Sebastian nodded and lowered his head so he could kiss her.

It started slow. They pressed and licked and stroked, the heat ratcheting up with every movement, and it wasn’t long before Brighton began to express her impatience.

There, that’s what I want, Sebastian thought, my wife needing me so badly, she forgets to worry.

He wasted no time in making sure she got what she needed from him. He let go of her hand, using both of his own to grip the hem of her negligee and begin the slow slide of silk up her body as she whimpered into their kiss, then moaned when he broke it to draw the material over her head.

Perfect. Her body was perfect. Soft and curved in all the right places and absolutely made for him to worship, which he didn’t hesitate in sharing with her. “I could touch this body every minute of every day, and it wouldn’t be enough.”

Author Bio

B. Cranford is a proud Australian living in the USA, a lover of books, breadsticks and bed, and the mother of two children who are far too similar to their father for her liking. A lifelong reader, she dove into the romance genre on the recommendation of her best friend and hasn’t looked back since. After three years as a blogger, she decided it was high time she finally finished one of the 12,002 books she’d started writing, and the end result was her debut novel, The Brightest Star.

Review & Release Blitz: Book 2 Debut Political Romance That Keeps It's Promises

Forever Valentine PR and More is proud to present the Release Blitz for Capitol Promises by Rebecca Gallo.

Title: Capitol Promises
Author: Rebecca Gallo
Available NOW!
Cover Design: RBA Designs

I’ve made far too many promises that are impossible to keep.

I assured the country a leader they could depend on and trust.

I vowed everything and then some to the woman I love.

Someone is bound to be disappointed.

Poised to become the next leader of the United States of America, I’m bound by oath of office to make good on every campaign pledge. Which means giving Georgie back something she sacrificed – the platform to make a difference.

But my stubborn pride may cost me everything – both the dream and the girl.

In the end, I may just have to break a few promises to keep what matters most.

Review: Capitol Promises

First off, yes you must read Presidential Bargain first. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS. Now, that's out of the way and you've read book one, you'll want to read book 2. Although I warned that there was a 'sorta' cliff depending on whether or not you took into account the epilogue, book two picks up right where one left off and prepare to hit the ground running.

What I have learned with debut authors that I enjoy their first release, they improve with writing and gain their stride in the voice of their storytelling. Ms. Gallo didn't let me down. The in-depth connection to the characters was strengthened in Capital Promises. You got more understand of what was driving the MC as they tackle the hurdles of Washington DC. However, Jameson did not lose his 'damn jerk' hero status. And Georgie strengthening as a female lead to show women don't have to bulldoze to have power. The story was well paced and gave the reader what I would say was the best HEA the characters could have.

If you love a story with something you can sink your teeth into without feeling preached at or drowned in details, the duet by Ms Gallo is an engaging read. I'm pleased I took a chance and expect each novel she writes will have us turning the pages wanting more. 4.5 out of 5 stars

Review: Presidential Bargain

There is something about an overbearing asshole I love in a story. I think because when the author writes a fabulous counter part, the heroine is an equally strong person I can relate to. Rebecca Gallo has hit the right notes with her debut novel in Jameson and Georgie.

Although the synopsis would indicate that it is a political romance, the story focuses on the microscope that once you reach the interest in the pubic eye. Poor Jameson and Georgie cannot catch a break. Once one thing finally gets smoothed over, it seems like another issue is waiting in the wings which is all played out for the entertainment of the masses. The plot is a based on 'fiancee for hire' and Jameson tries his damnedest to make sure that everyone is aware that his singular focus is on winning the White House. But when you spend quality time with someone, it's hard for the heart to not to get involved. In typical romance fashion, lovely and giving Georgie who falls hard first. Wishes- as weird as it may seem - I wish at times there could have been more tension between the two as Jameson was almost my perfect asshole.  However, if we are discussing sexual tension, Ms. Gallo can write a steamy scene and make you feel oh so swoony.

To be honest, I rarely take a chance on a debut author unless I have a trusted friend go first . I was fortunate to have won an ARC along with a friend. We both loved it. Now...here's the trying-not-to-be-spoiler.  If you stop at the last chapter, you will have a very satisfyingly entertaining read. If you venture to the epilogue...you get a NO WAY moment.  And you'll be with me waiting for the release of Capital Promises this fall. For a debut author, Rebecca Gallo has talent and can't wait to see what she offers next! 4.25 out of 5 stars

Rebecca Gallo was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by her babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. She harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the mini-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. She is still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.

Rebecca currently lives in the Southwest with her husband, tiny four-year-old terror, and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When she isn’t swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, she can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos.

RELEASE DAY & REVIEW: Thresholds - I need nothing else for Christmas

Snowy days, steamy nights.
The Walshes are home for the holidays.

Title: Thresholds
Series: The Walsh Series #8
Author: Kate Canterbary
Release Date: December 14, 2017

Blurb

'Twas the weekend before Christmas, when all through the North End
Not a Walsh had his life together, not even his friends;

The parties were planned by the foodies with care,
In hopes that Wes and Erin would soon find their way there;

The men were stressing over last minute shopping lists and plans,
While the ladies were busy with work and nesting and finding the right paella pans;

When out in the dining room there arose such a clatter,
The Halsted dogs sprang from their beds to see what was the matter;

They whistled and shouted and called each other names,
While the secrets and announcements and surprises quickly came;

So onto another adventure they flew
With the sleigh full of Walshes, and the Commodore too—

As they continued arguing and clamoring around,
Down the road an unexpected visitor came with a bound;

But it wasn't long until couples were all nestled snug in their beds,
With new memories of steamy holiday nights dancing in their heads.

Review

The words escape me to do the book justice to tell readers why you MUST read this holiday addition to the series. Just read the book. So, there my work is done.

BAHAHAHAHAHA

YOU SERIOUSLY DID NOT THINK THIS OBNOXIOUS FANGIRL WAS STOPPING THERE, DID YOU?

First up, you cannot read this book without reading the first seven books in the series. Yes, I'm a series nazi but you will do yourself an immense disservice if you think this is just another holiday story so can get the jest of the characters and storyline.  No, just no. Kate Canterbary treats the reader to POVs from all the beloved characters from the previous books. You will be lost, not understand the subtle nuances and turn of phrase that each character delivers. Do yourself a favor and you've not read the series, dust off Underneath It All and get with the Kate fan wagon.

Okay fandom, what do I have to say about this book. This book. Damn, this book is all the things. Ms. Canterbary gives us each a look into the POV of everyone and then adds in POV from secondary characters we didn't know we needed. Poor Kate was subjected to my reading stream of consciousness (read as word vomit) in her reader group. To see what and how I felt as I read along, join here because I'm not a spoiler.

What possibly can I say about why I so loved this book?

Gift shopping with Matthew, Patrick and Sam: who knew it could be the equivalent of thwarting a terrorist plot. Will couldn't have done better with besting the enemy.

Caveman tactics: they abound. Like everywhere. Showering, holiday parties, grandparent wrangling, etc. You name it - those growly boys showed up and their women did the best to tame them. (See my fan made teaser below).

Have I convinced you yet that this book of the series needs to grace your eReader? I give you two compelling reasons:

  1. I insisted with the Brain Trust it be included in this BuzzFeed list edition. And yes, I said nice things there too.
  2. My beloved book pimp and who I aspire to be as a reviewer someday, Beth with Panda & Boodle, wrote THE BEST review EVER. So go read it here
What is left to say? It's a 5+ star review. Its amazing. Its sexy. Its sweet. But most of all it is the Walshes at the holidays in the most amazing gift to readers.

Kate Canterbary doesn’t have it all figured out, but this is what she knows for sure: spicy-ass salsa and tequila solve most problems, living on the ocean–Pacific or Atlantic–is the closest place to perfection, and writing smart, smutty stories is a better than any amount of chocolate. She started out reporting for an indie arts and entertainment newspaper back when people still read newspapers, and she has been writing and surreptitiously interviewing people—be careful sitting down next to her on an airplane—ever since.

Kate lives on the water in New England with Mr. Canterbary and the Little Baby Canterbary, and when she isn’t writing sexy architects, she’s scheduling her days around the region’s best food trucks.
